An example of globalization in Mexico is their manufactured goods, They make many things in Mexico and once they have the finished product they then export it so it can be sold in other countries. Mexico is responsible for making the goods and they then rely on the other countries to then sell the good.
Another example of globalization in Mexico is electronic machinery. In order for Mexico to produce manufactured goods they need machines that will help them produce goods at a faster rate. They get electronic machines imported to them which then allows them to make manufactured goods, which then allows them to export those goods to another country. This is a prime example of interdependence. Mexico and the U.S. work together a lot when it comes to trade and the U.S. exports machinery to Mexico. They rely on Mexico to make manufactured goods and Mexico relies on the U.S. to export machinery to make those goods.
The final example of globalization is cars being manufactured in Mexico. Honda has opened up a plant that allows Mexico to make cars and export them to the U.S. Manufacturing cars has become the primary source of foreign currency for Mexico. They are cheaper to make in Mexico than any other country which allows the cars to be exported to the U.S. and sold for more money.
I think that globalization can be both good and bad for Mexico. It can be good in the sense that it opens up more job opportunities for people in Mexico. When Honda decided to open up a factory and manufacture cars out of Mexico, many jobs opened up and helped people earn money to get out of that poverty level. The fact that other nations rely on Mexico and their people to make certain goods to be exported around the world is good. It means that as long as there is a demand people will have jobs in Mexico. However, globalization can be bad since it requires countries to depend on other nations. If the U.S. demand for cars from Mexico lowered, then Mexico would suffer since their services no longer were in high demand. This would then cause less jobs for people since they are not needed anymore. In turn, this would make people jobless and they would eventually be below the poverty level if they were not able to find other jobs. As long as Mexico is depended on and their service is in high demand, then globalization is good. If it's not, then Globalization can harm Mexico.
