It is sad to me that Mexico is struggling so much, but I am glad to see that they are making improvements! I like the comment that you made that in order to have quality learning you must first have qualified teachers. I find it interesting that in all of the UN Priorities and in the Education for All Goals that educators are not mentioned even once. You are so right! It all starts with quality educators and I think that is something that needs to be considered more.

I was very surprised to read the status of Mexico's education system. When researching for Spain, I found out that school is required through a certain year of schooling, and I'm very surprised that Mexico doesn't have a standard or plan for that matter. I'm also very surprised by the lack of qualified teachers, since teachers are one of the most important elements in education. It will be interesting to see how Mexico's education system improves in the future.

I agree that having quality education goes back to the educators! I think that more structure in the educational system could really give Mexico a boost in the right direction. I think that priorities set by the UN could greatly improve the quality of the education system in Mexico as it has in Sri Lanka
